Multilingual websites increase Huangpu's global exposure

Huangpu district (Guangzhou Development District) in Guangzhou has made remarkable achievements in promoting its international outreach, as 1.4 million visits were recorded on its multilingual websites from January 2022 to May 2023.
These websites, operated by China Daily Website and celebrating their first anniversary recently, offer a rich variety of content. They encompass stories, infographics, videos and live broadcasts in English, Japanese and Korean. The sites emphasize several key areas, such as investment attraction, local news, technological innovations, open policies, ecological environment and life services.
By leveraging the continued development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and efforts to open up to the outside world, these platforms showcase the favorable business environments and superior living environment of Huangpu district.
Additionally, these websites have become new communication platforms for promoting investment, attracting talent, presenting Guangzhou's public image and facilitating foreign exchanges in Huangpu district.
A new multilingual services section was added to these sites last May, integrating 60 foreign-related services. Overseas individuals and enterprises now have a one-stop service channel to make appointments for visa applications, green card applications, company registrations and company management assistance.
Huangpu's Japanese and Korean websites, together with the previously launched English website, have built an internet bridge that connects Huangpu district and the world.
