Tornado hits Liaoning province

A tornado tore through Jingouzi township in the city of Tieling, Liaoning province Thursday afternoon, leaving 13 wounded, 60 households heavily affected and high-speed trains canceled.
Across the province, two other cities, Shenyang and Fuxin were hit by the tornado on Thursday, but no casualties were reported in these locations.
According to Zhang Qingqing, a doctor from Faku county, Shenyang, the tornado also impacted the town of Shuangtaizi, overturning the roof of a chicken coop. "Because it is in a relatively open rural area, there were no casualties reported," said Zhang.
Local authorities rushed to the affected areas to provide disaster relief measures.
A netizen in Fuxin posted a short video showing a moving white car being rolled over by the tornado, while the driver struggled to escape.
Experts suggested that the suction power from the rotating airflow of the tornado was enough to roll up the light-weight vehicle and hurl it into the air.
It's the second such natural disaster to strike the area in recent years. In 2019, a tornado that hit Kaiyuan left six people dead and more than 190 injured.
