Senior Party official of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps under probe

BEIJING -- Jiao Xiaoping, a standing committee member of the Communist Party of China (CPC) committee of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, is under probe for suspected serious violations of Party discipline and laws.

Jiao, also deputy commander of the corps, is being investigated by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision, according to an official statement Sunday.
