New minister of Human Resources and Social Security appointed

Wang Xiaoping has been appointed the minister of Human Resources and Social Security, according to a decision made by China's top legislature.
The decision was adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the country' top legislative body, on Friday when it closed its session.
Wang, 58, a native of Hubei province, graduated from the China University of Political Science and Law. She started her career and joined the Communist Party of China in 1988.
She served positions in the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, China's cabinet, between 1990 and 2017.
Then she became a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee, head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and head of the Organization Department of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee.
In November 2020, she was appointed deputy head of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee.
In October, she was named as a member of the CPC Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission.
