GENEVA - The Federation International de Football Association (FIFA) on Friday announced vivo as the official smartphone of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

FIFA signed a six-year sponsorship agreement with vivo in 2017 and the Qatar World Cup will be the second World Cup the Chinese company has sponsored after Russia 2018.

"Together, with FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022's expected global audience of five billion and over 400 million active vivo users worldwide, vivo and FIFA are looking forward to connecting with audiences worldwide through the shared passion of football," FIFA said through a release.
