The mood in Hong Kong is celebratory - with a sea of red national and HKSAR flags, lanterns, and festive banners decorating streets, parks, shopping malls and residential buildings - as the special administrative region prepares to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its return to the motherland in two days' time. China Daily recorded some of these memorable moments in Hong Kong's history.
