Japanese table tennis icon Ai Fukuhara encourages young generation to fight for dreams

Former Japanese table tennis player Ai Fukuhara joins Generation Z's Words to share stories from her successful career and encourage Gen Zers to fight for their dreams.
In this episode, Ai, who is now the general manager of World Table Tennis Japan, talks about competition, communication, and mutual learning between Chinese and Japanese paddlers. Facing Team China is always a highlight for Japanese players, according to Ai.
"Chinese table tennis ranks first in the world and then second is the Japanese team. It's really good for the Japanese athletes to be able to train or exchange with Chinese team," she said.
In a message to young people who love table tennis and those who are hesitant about trying it out, Ai said the sport can bring a lot of joy. She hopes that people can have a happier life through table tennis.
