Campus recruitment drives resume with caveats
Campus recruitment drives may now be held in universities in areas that have not reported any new cases of COVID-19 outside controlled areas for a period of seven consecutive days, the Ministry of Education said on Friday.
Liu Peijun, an official from the Department of Physical Education, Health and the Arts, said that as campus recruitment drives are the main means for graduates to find employment, the ministry will collaborate with the National Health Commission to adjust epidemic prevention and control measures on campuses to facilitate such activities.
"In areas suffering from outbreaks, if the city where the university is located reports no new cases outside controlled areas for seven consecutive days or longer, campus recruitment events can be organized," Liu said.
Universities and employers must become more proactive and colleges should invite suitable employers to hold recruitment drives.
Employers are also expected to contact universities and participate in recruitment drives as required by recent guidelines stipulating the promotion of more and better quality job opportunities for graduates.
