Man arrested for livestreaming woman's operation
A man surnamed Li who allegedly livestreamed a gynecological operation has been arrested, the Donggang police of Rizhao public security bureau in Rizhao, Shandong province, said on Tuesday.
The police received a report about the incident at 4 pm on Tuesday saying that the video appeared on Bilibili, a popular online video sharing and entertainment platform.
During the livestream, the patient was told that the man was the anesthesiologist, not the surgeon, according to a Bilibili user who entered the livestream on Saturday and disclosed the issue online.
In the livestream, the man presented photos of the patient's anatomy, but the patient was unaware of what he was doing, the Bilibili user said, adding that the man's colleague didn't stop him from taking photos or livestreaming.
The livestreaming account has been closed, Bilibili said.
