"It's an honor and a responsibility to be a policeman. It's the last Police Day for me as I'll retire in nine months. I will strive to ensure the safety and happiness of residents in our community even after I leave the force," said Wang Ruifang, a community policeman who received first-class merit citations from the Public Security Bureau in Xuhui district.
Public satisfaction with Shanghai's public security and police work has reached a new record high, according to a survey in 2021.
