Ferran Torres close to completing move to Barca from Man City

MADRID -- Spainish international Ferran Torres is close to becoming FC Barcelona's second signing for the January transfer window after completing his medical in a Barcelona hospital on Monday morning ahead of his transfer from Manchester City.
The 21-year-old is expected to complete his return to Spain either on Tuesday or Wednesday, for a fee around 60 million euros, well in excess of the 20 million euros that Manchester City paid Valencia to take Torres to the Ethiad Stadium in the summer of 2020.
Torres has made 43 appearances for Pep Guardiola's side, scoring 16 goals and can operate either on the right of midfield or as a 'false' striker. However, he hasn't played since October after suffering an ankle injury playing for Spain in the UEFA Nations League final against France.
Torres joins right back Dani Alves at the club, although neither will be able to make their debut until Barcelona remove players from their squad to allow them to meet La Liga's strict wage ceiling requirements.
