A1: Last year was the first time for Michelin to take part in the CIIE. We have fully demonstrated Michelin's image of "with, around and beyond tires". For us, CIIE is a platform that connects people and world, and we look forward to establishing closer connections with: Chinese people, market, and development.

This year, Michelin will focus on "a better life in motion". We will bring more innovative products, technologies and solutions related to "sustainability".

A2: The recovery of the world economy from the impact of the pandemic requires some powerful levers. The CIIE is undoubtedly one of the most important, it brings the following significant effects.

The platform of the CIIE has dialogues and exchanges between many countries and regions. In particular, the Chinese government continues to release positive signals for the market and the future through this platform, such as green, low-carbon, digitalization and other factors. This is a weather vane for businesses.

In the context of sustainable development, innovations related to green and carbon reduction can promote economic development in both quantity and quality.

As Chinese people say "more friends make the journey easier", cooperation is vital for the recovery of the global economy. We need such and a more extensive, diversified and international platform so that governments, scientific research institutions, enterprises and even individuals can find opportunities for dialogue and cooperation.

A3: International trade continues to be affected by the pandemic. China insists on improving the business environment, vigorously promoting trade facilitation, actively opening up the market, and actively expanding imports, which not only benefits the Chinese economy and its people, but also promotes the common development of trading partners and benefits the global economy.

A4: As China develops into the world's second-largest economy and accelerates the high-quality development of the market, the mobility industry has great potential in the Chinese market.

We have seen that the entire market and consumer demand are constantly escalating and accelerating. Chinese consumers increasingly recognize high-quality, high-tech, high-performance, and environmental-friendly products. This also encourages Michelin to continuously innovate and provide safer, smarter, greener, and more joyful mobility experience. Meanwhile, we are accelerating digital transformation to better serve consumers and customers and give them a better digital experience.

A5: As "high-level opening to the outside world" is emphasized in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25), I firmly believe this will help create a more friendly business environment and bring more confidence to the development of multinational companies in China.

The government policies are open and inclusive. The Chinese government has been promoting the reform and opening-up policies and relaxing restrictions on market access. For example, Shanghai is promoting the city to become a science and technology innovation center. Under the pandemic situation, we can feel the caring from the government at all levels.

Since China has become a hub for talents from all over the world, we can constantly replenish innovation blood and increase our innovation vitality of tire, high-tech material, digitalization, hydrogen and other areas.

To make business more sustainable, the government and companies are working together to build platforms. CIIE is a perfect story, companies not only showcase their innovations at CIIE, but can also find partners who share the same vision.

A6: With the implementation of China's dual circulation economic strategy, the government can expand policy radiation to promote market development from multiple aspects, to provide more opportunities for local and overseas enterprises and investors.

More platforms like the CIIE are needed to facilitate in-depth connection between companies and the Chinese consumers, so that companies and the market will achieve high-quality development together.

A7: Today, global challenges are increasing. Global economic recovery remains difficult. This has made it ever more urgent for a new type of international relations to be built that is geared toward win-win cooperation.

China's dual circulation growth paradigm economic strategy and high-level opening-up policy show China's determination to support free trade.

For consumers, a more open market can bring better products and more choices. We hope that the pandemic and its impact will dissipate as soon as possible, so that everyone can enjoy a better life in motion.
