Mapalo Humphrey, from Zambia, is an international student at Liaoning University who recently went to Fuxin, Liaoning province, to explore the transformation and development of cities with depleted resources. He wants to learn from China's experience.
The local government of Fuxin combined green development with rural vitalization to create new paths for ecological development.
"We can learn from Fuxin's 20-year transformation from coal to new energy," Humphrey said.
In the future, Fuxin will continue to develop its environmental protection work and make ecological progress, he said.
He hopes to help build mutual understanding between Zambia and China.
