Starry sky in Ningxia shines as tourist draw

The starry sky at the aviation and aerospace model base in Hongsibu district, Wuzhong of Ningxia Hui autonomous region, has become a new tourist attraction in recent years.

Ningxia has been nicknamed "Home of the Stars", as the region has over 300 days of sunshine per year. And the foot of Luoshan Mountain, where the base is located, is one of the most ideal spots in the region to observe stars. The base has held an aviation culture and tourism festival six times, and also hosted the national aviation and aerospace model contest for seven years. The development of tourism has also brought benefits to local people from impoverished families.
