Husanjan Husiyin is a fourth-generation artisan who owns a decorations shop in the city of Kashgar in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. The shop wouldn't have come into being if it weren't for an investment by the State in 2010, which restored the ancient city of Kashgar with the goal of developing tourism. Now, Husanjan feels content that he can continue to pass down his craftsmanship.
