Tokyo Olympic women's basketball quarterfinals pairings confirmed

TOKYO - China will meet with Serbia as the stage is set for the Tokyo Olympic women's basketball quarterfinals here on Monday, according to FIBA.

The US will face Australia and Japan will play against Belgium, while Spain will encounter France. Canada, South Korea, Nigeria and Puerto Rico were eliminated in the preliminary round.

With a 3-0 win-loss record, China finished first in the group phase for the first time in the Olympic history.

The Women's quarterfinals will be on Aug 4 at the Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo.
