China issues guideline to promote family virtues

BEIJING -- China has unveiled a guideline to promote family education and family virtues.
The guideline, jointly issued by seven national-level authorities and organizations, highlights the role of core socialist values in this cause.
It specifies the requirements on Party members and officials in carrying forward fine family culture and values and asks for measures to guide parents in helping their children cultivate virtues and morality.
Institutional guarantees shall also be provided to promote work on family, family education and family virtues, it adds.
