A game featuring the history of the Communist Party of China and the achievements of China's poverty alleviation was launched on Friday, one day after the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party.

Developed by video-sharing platform Bilibili and Shanghai Jubian Studio, the game can be accessed through the WeChat account of the Information Office of the Shanghai Municipal Government.

In the game, players have to locate 100 "treasures" hidden amidst long Chinese scrolls. Discovering a treasure would allow players to learn about specific milestones in the Party's history or different poverty alleviation projects.

Twenty-four young and popular content creators on Bilibili, who have a combined following of 90 million, volunteered to introduce the game to more netizens through their videos.

"I hope that such events will attract more people from the young generation to pay attention to the country's poverty alleviation efforts and achievements and the Party's century-old development progress," said China Boy Super Gorilla, a Bilibili user who has more than 7.2 million followers.

Another well-known Bilibili user Andy Boreham from New Zealand said he is interested in breaking down barriers and helping more foreigners understand China.

"I traveled to Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region in April and recorded the local delicacies and people's lives in a vlog that has been watched more than 610,000 times on overseas social platforms," he said.
