Beijing Happy Valley kicks off summer carnival
The opening ceremony of Beijing Happy Valley amusement park's summer carnival was hosted in the park on June 25, as a key component of the 2021 OCT Group Culture and Tourism Festival.
The carnival will last 66 days, from June 25 to Aug 29, adding to tourist experience with play fountains, electronic music, light shows and challenges.
According to Li Wei, deputy general manager of Beijing Happy Valley, the carnival will include its 7th edition of water blaster and bubble machine festival that allow visitors to splash around and cool off in the park's water features.
After nightfall, the park's newly installed light shows will be augmented by live electronic music, providing tourists with a more immersive and boisterous experience.The 2021 OCT Group Culture and Tourism Festival is taking place from June to October throughout major Chinese cities, with the events comprising the five categories of traveling, electronic music, healthcare, food, and traditional Chinese culture and art.
