She vigorously devoted herself to the city's battle against COVID-19 last year in routine work, such as taking people's temperatures and ensuring epidemic prevention measures were in place. With practical action, she interprets the oath of serving the country and its people.

In another example, when a 4.9-magnitude earthquake hit Yingcheng of Xiaogan city in Hubei, Jiang, who had already returned home from work, put on her uniform and went back to her post to maintain the order of the buses and assist stranded passengers.

"As a police officer, all I did was nothing but ordinary trivial things," she said. "I just hope to help others, just like the many caring people who helped me in my life, just like the people who rescued me in the flood."
