LED light show marks Tianjn's 616th birthday

A stunning LED light show was presented on Wednesday night in Tianjin to celebrate the 616th birthday of the coastal city.
The grand event was staged at the city's Drum Tower, which was built in 1404 when Tianjin was established as a fortress city to protect the capital, Beijing, during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
In a bid to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, only 4,000 people joined the celebrations by pre-registration online.
Some other activities including a crosstalk show, a folk art favored by local residents, was performed concurrently with the light show.
The local government said another LED light show and crosstalk will be held on New Year's eve to serve local people and visitors' desire for limited audience numbers.
