China's circuit breaker arrangement for international passenger flights was tightened on Wednesday to contain the spread of COVID-19.
According to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, China's civil aviation regulator, if the number of passengers testing positive reaches five, the airline's flights will be suspended for two weeks, starting on Wednesday. The earlier regulation — which started in June — suspended the airline's flights for one week if there are five passengers testing positive on the flight.
The suspension will last for four weeks if the number of passengers who test positive for COVID-19 reaches 10, which remains the same with the earlier regulation.
