Ding to face O'Sullivan in Scottish Snooker Open quarters

LONDON - China's top player Ding Junhui will meet six-time world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan in the quarterfinals at the Scottish Snooker Open.
In Thursday's action, O'Sullivan beat Tian Pengfei of China 4-3 before knocking out Robbie Williams 4-1, while Ding edged Jamie O'Neill 4-3orld number one Judd Trump also booked his place in the last eight by beating Mark Williams 4-1. His next opponent is Chinese Li Hang, who ousted Stuart Bingham 4-3 in the round of 16.
Three-time world champion Mark Selby sent off Chinese Lyu Haotian 4-1 to set up a quarterfinal clash with Ricky Walden, who defeated Mark Allen 4-3.
The other quarterfinal is between Kyren Wilson and Jamie Jones.
Ding, the world number 10, has been drawn to meet O'Sullivan in the Masters played by the world's top 16 players in January 2021.
