Deals worth $16.5b inked at agro fair

Deals worth 110 billion yuan ($16.5 billion) were signed at an agricultural high-tech fair in Northwest China's Shaanxi province. The 27th China Yangling Agricultural Hi-tech Fair kicked off on Oct 22 and concluded on Monday in the Yangling agricultural high-tech industrial demonstration zone. Displaying more than 9,000 of the latest agricultural scientific and technological achievements and advanced practical technologies at home and abroad, the event attracted delegations from over 50 countries and saw 1.5 million attendances both online and offline.

SF Holding net profit increases by 51.5%

China's express delivery giant SF Holding reported robust profit growth in the third quarter, according to a company financial report. The firm's net profit from July to September hit 1.84 billion yuan ($275.76 million), up 51.55 percent on a yearly basis. In the first three quarters, the company's net profit rose by 29.84 percent from the same period a year earlier to 5.6 billion yuan. Revenue jumped 39.13 percent on a yearly basis to 109.59 billion yuan during the period. China's courier sector has been witnessing rapid business volume growth since February as it recovers from the COVID-19 epidemic.
