Licensing Expo China to kick off in October
Nearly 230 domestic and foreign exhibitors and over 1,000 IP owners and agents will attend the Licensing Expo China at the Shanghai National Exhibition and Convention Center from Oct 10 to 12, the event organizers announced at a conference on Friday in Shanghai.
The expo is co-organized by the Huangpu district government and Informa Markets.
Organizers said that the upcoming expo, which will span 27,000 square meters, will be attended by IP owners and agents from the fields of animation, film and television, culture and art, network literature, entertainment, games, enterprise brands and sports.
Gong Kangkang, general manager of Informa Markets, pointed out that the revenue of global licensing products and services sales reached $292.8 billion in 2019, with China raking in $10.4 billion - a year-on-year increase of 9.7 percent - to become one of the fastest-growing markets in the world.
Friday's conference and promotional activity featured nearly 20 experts and business leaders from the domestic and foreign licensing industries and 500 representatives of enterprises related to the industry. The topics discussed include future trends, IP-brand crossover, the innovation of the licensing industry, and the IP commercial valve.
