Work has been going smoothly as the construction of venues for the 2022 Winter Olympics proceeded, with 500 days to go.
By the end of this year, all construction in both Beijing and Zhangjiakou, which will host the Games jointly, will be finished, China National Radio reported.
The primary structure of the National Speed Skating Oval, also known as the Ice Ribbon, has been completed.
In the Chongli district of Zhangjiakou, Hebei province, one of three hosting areas, the National Ski Jumping Center and the Olympic Village are in the final finishing stage.
To date, 70 of the total 76 projects supporting the Games in Zhangjiakou have been finished. The rest will also be completed by the end of the year. After that, the three hosting areas will stage a series of official trial events, the report said.
Other supporting services in Zhangjiakou, including transportation, catering, security, volunteers and medical care, are in the training stages.
The city has chosen 954 medical workers to provide health care services during the Games.
