The Shanghai Zoo is soliciting public suggestions for names for the quadruplets that South China tiger Lulu gave birth to on July 4, the zookeeper announced on Thursday.
The four cubs are doing well, said the zoo, adding their average weight has climbed from about 1.2 kilograms each when they were 10 days old to more than 5 kg currently.
The zoo said it welcomes netizens to leave naming suggestions for the quadruplets on its official WeChat and Douyin accounts.
A species indigenous to China, South China tigers are considered near extinct in the wild. There are presently only 180 South China tigers in national zoos. Shanghai Zoo has 24 of these tigers.
