Beijing official under investigation for suspected discipline, law violations

BEIJING - Li Wei, vice chairman of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, has been put under disciplinary and supervisory investigation by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission for suspected severe violations of disciplines and laws, an official statement said Tuesday.
