Volunteer Ekebar Emet publicizes epidemic prevention measures at a community in Tianshan district of Urumqi, Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, Aug 3, 2020. Ekebar Emet, a 21-year-old junior student, comes from Bachu county of Xinjiang. He went to the Dongcaiyuan community in Tianshan district of Urumqi city to practise for one year on June 3. The sudden COVID-19 resurgence in Xinjiang immediately transformed Ekebar from a university intern to a volunteer at the frontline of epidemic prevention and control. Ekebar publicized epidemic prevention measures to 78 households every day. In order to prevent cross-infection, the daily materials needed by residents were all delivered by Ekebar. In order to do these jobs well, Ekebar has set up a special WeChat group. Residents in the community could send their needs to the group every day. With about 100 orders daily, Ekebar always found ways to complete them. "I believe the epidemic will pass soon. And I also feel that the epidemic has made the residents more united, and everyone has gradually understood that only by solidarity can we overcome the epidemic." He said. [Photo/Xinhua]
