Postponing the LegCo election is not a political decision, but a necessary move to protect residents' health and well-being amid Hong Kong's worst wave of COVID-19, said Tam Yiu-chung, a member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.
In a one-on-one interview with China Daily, Tam slammed opposition parties and foreign countries for using the postponement for their political agendas.
