Chemical plant blast in Hubei kills 6

Six people died and four were injured in an explosion at a chemical plant in Xiantao, Hubei province, on Monday.
The blast occurred in workshop of Lanhua Organic Silicon Co in Xiliuhe town at around 5:30 pm.
One of the injured was discharged from the hospital and three were being treated. Their injuries were not life-threatening, Hubei Daily reported on Tuesday.
More than 100 rescue personnel and 14 fire engines were sent to the scene.
All production by the company has been suspended. Various government departments are investigating the incident and asking all companies to strengthen their safety inspections.
