Blaze snuffed after Sichuan fireworks factory blast

A fire at Jinyan Fireworks Co in Guanghan, Sichuan province, was extinguished by firefighters at 6 am on Thursday.
According to the Deyang government information office, the fire broke out at about 9:10 pm on Wednesday in a workshop of the company's production area in Nanfeng town. An explosion was set off at 10:25 pm.
Six people were injured in the incident, including two seriously hurt and four with light injuries. They are being treated in the hospital. The cause of the fire and blast is under investigation, the office said.
Production at the company had been suspended since June 28, it said.
