Medical exchange enhances ties with Russia

Officials and medical experts from Anhui province and Russia's Volga Federal District held a video conference on Thursday to promote cooperation in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

Before the conference, the Chinese side collected dozens of questions from its Russian counterpart. Experts from First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University answered questions with help of interpreters.

Officials and experts from nine Russian federal subjects including five from the Volga Federal District —Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Republic of Tatarstan, Samara Oblast, Republic of Bashkortostan and Chuwash Oblast — participated in the conference.

The Russian participants said the country has been experiencing a severe outbreak.
