A Tatarstan official said more than 3,000 people who had been infected in the republic have recovered while many more remain hospitalized for further treatment.

The latest daily report by the Anhui Health Commission on Friday said the province has reported 990 locally confirmed cases, with 984 recovered and six deaths. Currently, there are no hospitalizations or new cases in the province.

Anhui authorities said the province's ties with its Russian partners benefits from the two country's sub-national cooperation through the Yangtze and Volga rivers.
