Doctor dies after returning from COVID-19 frontline

A 42-year-old surgeon, who had completed a medical support assignment in the fight against COVID-19 in Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang province, died on Monday after suffering a heart attack.
Yu Tiefu died in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang, while undergoing two weeks of quarantine after finishing his work in Mudanjiang.
Yu, whose regular job was at Qiqihar First Hospital, had been working at Hongqi Hospital Affiliated with Mudanjiang Medical University since April 25 as part of a 126-member medical aid team.
At the end of March, imported COVID-19 cases had been increasing in Suifenhe, a county-level city under Mudanjiang, and all patients were sent to Hongqi Hospital.
