BEIJING -- Studying topped the list of online activities of Chinese minors in 2019, according to a report on internet use among minors released Wednesday.

When going online, about 89.6 percent of the respondents engaged in learning activities, while 65.9 percent and 61 percent listened to music and played games, respectively, figures from the report show.

The report, jointly issued by the Chinese Communist Youth League Central Committee and the China Internet Network Information Center, was based on a survey that covered 34,661 primary and middle school students across the country aged between six and 18.
