China opens public bidding for best short films embodying core socialist values
BEIJING -- China is inviting public bidding for outstanding short films and videos embodying core socialist values, organizers of the event said on Thursday.
Short film and video makers are encouraged to draw inspiration from the ongoing efforts to build a moderately prosperous society, eradicate extreme poverty and stem the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic, and depict the stories of down-to-earth heroes who are practicing core socialist values, the organizers said.
Winning works decided by an expert panel will be aired on public media platforms, according to the organizers which include the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission.
It's the fourth time this event is taking place and it will be open to public contributions before Sept 30, 2020.
