Shanghai to increase, strengthen fever clinics in health service centers
Shanghai will improve its fever clinics and add 182 new ones in the city's community health service centers in order to strengthen the screening of COVID-19 disease, according to the municipal health commission on Mar 22.
The city plans to expand the space of its existing 117 fever clinics and improve the facilities so as to allow more patients to remain in hospital under observation, said the commission during the city's daily briefing on the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Employees at such clinics will receive further training, more equipment, medication and first-aid supplies as well as protective gears, said the commission.
