The government of the Macao Special Administrative Region Sunday announced new policies to deal with people who traveled to Japan, Spain, Germany and France within the past 14 days.
Starting from noon Sunday, such arrivals must have medical checkups before they are allowed to enter the city.
Starting from noon March 10, those who traveled to the countries will be sent to designated venues for 14-day medical observation.
Non-Macao residents will need to cover the expenses for the medical observation.
Individuals who will not fulfil the requirements may face mandatory isolation in addition to criminal liabilities.
