"We need to find accurate data for the 3D printed goggles to ensure the product is comfortable and safe for medical staff. For example, we tried more than 20 times to find the precise location for the holes on the two sides," said Yang Kai of the company.
"Amid the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak, 3D printing can be conducted without involving workers, which will reduce the risks of getting infected with NCP. In addition, the goggles we produce with 3D printing technology are one-quarter lighter than ordinary goggles on the market," Yang said.
