Video clip of teary-eyed police officer touches hearts

A clip recorded by a video surveillance camera at a police station in southwestern Chongqing shows a police officer wiping away tears after sending his family members back home on Jan 29.
The story behind this is touching. The man, Hu Xiaoyou, head of the Gaoqiao police station in Chongqing, has been on duty without going home for 21 days in a row because of his work to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus. His wife and son came to visit him on Jan 29 and brought him clothes. Due to an urgent task Hu needed to rush, he met his family members and took the clothes in the yard at the police station. At his son's request, he took off his face mask for a while, but asked his wife and son to leave soon due to health concerns, as the coronavirus is highly contagious.
After sending off his family members, Hu couldn't hold back his tears.
