BEIJING - China's environmental watchdog has urged local authorities to properly supervise and manage the treatment of medical waste produced in fighting the deadly novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV).
The collection, transportation, storage and disposal of medical waste related to the outbreak of pneumonia caused by the virus should be handled properly, said the Ministry of Ecology and Environment on Thursday.
