China honors model police officers at primary-level units

BEIJING -- The 2019 list of 30 model police officers at primary-level units along with their meritorious deeds were unveiled by Chinese authorities at a ceremony Friday.

The 30 officers were awarded certificates at the event.

Four police officers who died on duty and a group of police officers who participated in evacuating vehicles and personnel in a road accident that occurred Aug 27 in East China's Zhejiang province were awardees of special respect.

They were honored as highly competent police officers of strong conviction and fine conduct and with a strong sense of mission.

The selection of model police officers at primary-level units was jointly held by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the Ministry of Public Security.
