BEIJING - Shenzhen Aviators, who started the 2019-20 CBA season with four straight losses, finished Sunday's game with a big victory by shocking powerhouse Xinjiang Flying Tigers 104-102.

The victory marked the second straight win for Shenzhen, and the last season's semifinalists climbed to the 10th place on the standings.

It seemed the match would go to overtime when Abudushalamu hit a 3-pointer to tie the game at 102-102 with only l.7 seconds on the clock. But Gu Quan made a long throw from the baseline before Shen Zijie caught the ball under the basket and pulled himself up to drop it into the net with a backhand.

Dwight Buycks made 29 points for Shenzhen. Gu added 22. Shen and Lu Yiwen bagged 18 points each.

It was the second loss in the season for Xinjiang.

Other two Guangdong teams also finished with wins. Marshon Brooks scored a game-high 37 points to help league leaders Guangdong Southeast Tigers beat Shanxi Loongs 115-104.

Keifer Sykes scored a game-high 50 points as Guangzhou Long Lions beat Shanghai Sharks 119-113 in overtime.

Chen Yingjun added 19 points for Guangzhou, while Donatas Motiejunas had 34 points and 14 rebounds for Shanghai.

Liaoning Flying Leopards notched a 111-105 comeback win at home over Beijing Royal Fighters.

With their victory, the hosts are now on a three-game winning streak following a disappointing defeat against Xinjiang.

Forward Lance Stephenson led Liaoning with 30 points and seven rebounds, while Brandon Bass finished with 21 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Guo Ailun added 16 points plus six rebounds and eight assists.

Elsewhere, Jilin Northeast Tigers smashed Beijing Ducks 104-86, Nanjing Monkey Kings overwhelmed Fujian Sturgeons 107-88 and Tianjin Pioneers edged Bayi Rockets 94-92.
