CEIBS global EMBA ranked top five in world again

The Global EMBA programme offered by the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) has been placed fifth in the world and first among independent (non-joint) program in Asia for the second consecutive year in the Financial Times Global Executive MBA rankings that was released on Nov 18.
The rankings, one of the most widely recognized business school rankings in the global management education community, were based on 16 categories covering graduate career progress, school diversity and teaching and research levels. Corporation social responsibility was also included as a criterion for the second time in 2019.
"This year marks the 25th anniversary of the founding of CEIBS and this achievement is a big gift to add to the celebration," CEIBS President Li Mingjun said.
CEIBS was co-founded by the Chinese government and the European Union in 1994, with Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the European Foundation for Management Development serving as its executive partners. It has campuses in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Accra in Ghana and Zurich in Switzerland.
The school's MBA programme was also ranked fifth by the Financial Times in January.
"There has been relatively little movement at the top of the rankings, and this is a sign that the market for global management education is reaching a point of maturity," said Ding Yuan, vice president and dean of CEIBS.
"As a business school rooted in China, CEIBS' success in being ranked among the top five for two consecutive years highlights the rise of management education in China and Asia. It also shows that the school's efforts in promoting globalization have paid off," Ding added.
