Barty extends top place in WTA rankings

LONDON - Australia's Ashleigh Barty retained her slim lead over Japan's Naomi Osaka in the women's world tennis rankings released by the WTA on Monday.
Barty has 6,605 points, closely followed by Osaka on 6,228 and Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic with 6,055.
In the only change in the top 10, Belarussian Aryna Sabalenka moved a place up to ninth at the expense of Serena Williams of the United States, who dropped to 10th.
