Missing baby found; suspect arrested
A baby boy who went missing at a park in Zhoukou city in Central China's Henan province was found, and a suspect surrendered to police on Sunday morning, according to a news report.
The 4-month-old infant is safe and healthy after being examined in a local hospital. He was returned to his family, the Zhengzhou Evening News reported.
The baby went missing on Thursday after his mother walked with him in a park in Zhoukou. The mother suddenly fainted, and the boy was gone when she woke up.
The spot from where the boy disappeared was not captured by the park's security cameras.
The police said the baby's mother suffers from hypokalemia, or a low level of potassium in the blood.
The police posted the family's information online and called for all netizens to help find the child.
The family also offered a 50,000 yuan ($7,227) reward to those who provided clues to the case. Further investigation is underway.
