China awards outstanding youth

BEIJING -- China's youth organizations have decided to award the May 4 medals to 30 outstanding young people and 13 groups from various fields across the country.
The Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and the All-China Youth Federation released the list of winners Saturday.
The medal, which is awarded annually, is the top honor for the young Chinese.
Researchers of simulated space lab Yuegong-1, or Lunar Palace 1, and a Sichuan Airlines crew headed by pilot Liu Chuanjian who made a successful emergency landing in 2018 are among the groups awarded.
Covering a wide range of sectors, the individual winners include scientists, soldiers, teachers and national park rangers.
