Yanqing
Sightseeing
Thanks to its rich tourism resources, Yanqing is a famed destination in Beijing. It is dotted with tourism attractions, including Badaling Great Wall, Longqing Gorge, Mount Song, ancient cave residences, Mount Yudu, Baili Landscape Painting Gallery and Mount Lianhua. The unique and well-known folk villages such as Liugou, Changshouling and Xiushuiwan draw visitors from far and wide. A utopia that is Yanqing, where people may return to nature, let go of their worldly worries and immerse in the landscape of their dream. Chuanqu of Yanqing is situated at 500 metres above sea level, whose average annual temperature is around 4ºC lower than that of Beijing, which is also lower than that of Chengde Mountain Resort and is thus named the summer capital of Beijing.
Tourism and leisure can be enjoyed in Yanqing all the year round. Day trips in the nature to appreciate apricot blossoms may be enjoyed in spring; cycling in mountains and along the rivers to cool down and unwind in summer; hike to the top of the mountains to appreciate the maple trees or pick grapes and apples in autumn; appreciate ice lanterns, go skiing, dip in hot spring or eat a hotpot to enjoy the thrill of fire and ice.
