Contest involving projects for winter sports draws over 100 entries

The third edition of the Bird's Nest Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Ice-snow Sports Creative Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition revealed its winner on Thursday in Beijing.
More than 100 projects featured in this year's competition covering areas such as sports equipment, sports training, sports games, and sports comics.
The competition also attracted projects from South China. And though there are lack of snow resources there, they used technology and creativity to popularize winter sports.
Fifteen projects have made it to the final road show on Feb 28, and the first prize winner was a project for a warmth retention material that will be used to make suits for winter sports.
Tian Henian, the operations director of the winning projects says that thanks to the competition their product will be known by both the public and potential investors.
In the previous two editions, 10 of the winning projects have forged links with Olympics related companies.
